TMC ‘RAMMY’ WINNERS IN S.A. CURRENT AWARDSThe Tim & Bob Show, The Lavens, Melissa Ludwig, Bett Butler, S.A. Blue Cats, KSYM Third Coast Music.
TMC had a fair share of winners and runners-up in the recent Rammy Awards, presented by the San Antonio Current!
The Tim & Bob Show (TMC’s 2008 Artist of the Year winner) walked off again with Best Cover Band and also Best Album for their Take It Outside. The Lavens (TMC’s 2009 Artist of the Year) were voted Best Country/Americana Band, and The San Antonio Blue Cats (with TMC member Mark Stewart) won Best R&B Artist.
On top of that, member Melissa Ludwig of the Melissa Ludwig Band was a runner-up for both Best Vocalist and best Country/Americana Band; Bett Butler was runner-up for Best Jazz Artist; and KSYM’s Third Coast Music Show, on which Jim Beal is a DJ, was runner-up for Best Local Music Radio Show.
Jim Cullum, recent guest panelist for our South Texas Music Legends panel at Sam Ash Music, was the winner of Best Jazz Artist. And you may have noticed three of the winners played at TMC’s recent 2009 fundraiser – The S.A. Blue Cats, The Tim and Bob Show and The Melissa Ludwig Band, plus Andreas & Jana Laven of The Lavens performed that night with True Stories. (The Lavens themselves played TMC’s 2008 fundraiser.)
Congrats to all!!

As a meeting planner in Austin, Texas The Tim & Bob Show is much more than a cover band. They a good people who enjoy their craft, are professional and easy to work with and have always made the events which I've hired them for a wonderful success. As a planner, I generally follow the KISS theory so, when I hire their band, I always know what will happen before... it happens to me. They make everyone happy, play great music from all era's, and we all have a good time.
Just wanted to pass on my sincerest thanks to each of you & a gig well-done on Friday. I had several folks approach me to simply say how much they truly enjoyed your music & thought you were a perfect touch to wrap up the events. Everyone had a great time & best of all we achieved our donation goal of $40,000 with $$$ still coming in - not bad for the first time out of the corral ....
Many thanks from team WESTON & it sure was nice to see you all once again. Till we meet again!!!!
Joe
Had a nice in-studio visit with Steve of the "Tim and Bob Show" this afternoon. They are a class act, and you should catch them every chance you get!
The Tim and Bob Show as the entertainment for our Natural Areas Volunteer Celebration in March of 2009. Making arrangements for the program was very easy; the contract was clear and informative. The group was on time and set up - take down was accomplished with a minimum of disruption. Their program was well executed and very well received by our audience. The music was perfect for our group. The presenters were congenial and made mention of the appreciation that we have for our volunteers. We would definitely invite the Tim and Bob Show back when we choose to have live music during this or other events.
Just saw the Tim and Bob Show at the Pet Pals benefit. You gotta hear this band..AND Pet Pals is a great cause. Thanks for a fun night!
"The Tim and Bob Show OWN "Crazy Love!" Write it down! Steve, your tenor's better than ever!"
THE TIM AND BOB SHOW Orderup (Colonnade). The Tim and Bob Show, a quartet with no one named Tim or Bob, plays baby boomer favorites that are given close-harmony folk and folk/rock treatments.

THE TIM & BOB SHOW VOTED “TMC ARTIST OF THE YEAR”
Congratulations to the winner (actually, winners) of the first “TMC Artist of the Year Award” – The Tim & Bob Show, consisting of Kathy and Steve Feinstein and Mary Lou and Don Hymel, who sing fabulous harmony, as anyone at TMC’s Holiday Party last year at The Venue can attest.
The winners of this first-time award from the Texas Music Coalition were voted on by TMC members, with the announcement being made at TMC’s 10th Anniversary Fundraiser on Oct. 25 at Sam’s Burger Joint.
The Tim & Bob Show has had quite a year. Voted “Best Cover Band” by readers of the San Antonio Current, they recently released their new CD, Take It Outside, with a CD release party at Casbeers @ The Church, down in the King William Historic District, on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The CD was recorded at Bett Butler and Joel Dilley’s Mandala Music Production recording studio (also in the King William neighborhood) and Bett writes: “The quartet shows its writing chops on this new CD with "Fast," the moving story of a beloved retired greyhound who dreams of her glory days; "It Ends, It Begins," with its ethereal vocal harmonies; and the party anthem "South Texas Saturday Night."
Partial sales proceeds at the release benefited Pet Pals of Texas, a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization whose mission is to help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, the elderly and terminally ill, by providing the pets they love with support services that will allow them to stay together in a loving, healthy home.
And we also think it’s neat The Tim & Bob Show included the Texas Music Coalition logo on their CD! Actually, there were quite a few TMCers involved with Take It Outside. In addition to TMC member Bett Butler, who was involved in the production, TMCer Nikki Young and Chadd Green of PrimaDonna Productions did their press kit and Rick Hutcherson of Core Media Group was involved in providing the CDs.

CD RELEASE PARTY TIMEAnd here's a release party that's the opposite of dark metal.
The Tim and Bob Show is something like Peter, Paul and Mary and Mary. There is no Tim. There is no Bob. There are Steve and Kathy Feinstein and Don and Mary Lou Hymel. The quartet of two husband-and-wife teams started as the duo of singing, songwriting guitarists Steve and Don. Veterans of '70s-era bands, the two worked up acoustic versions of '60s and '70s rock. When the wives joined them, the repertoire remained the same, but the vocal possibilities expanded to three-and four-part harmonies.
Saturday at 5 p.m., The Tim and Bob Show will celebrate the release of its debut CD, “Take It Outside,” on the patio at Casbeers at the Church. Admission is free. CDs will be on sale for $13. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Pet Pals of Texas.
If you like harmony vocals and the folk side of folk/rock, you'll dig “Take It Outside,” a collection of (mostly) original Tim and Bob songs that touch on subjects ranging from a beloved pet (Poco's “Crazy Love”) to a command most of us have heard, “Take It Outside.”

It was indeed a great show which The Tim and Bob Show performed last week during our first Bluebonnets, Burgers, and Bordeaux event. The songs and performance were remembrances from the past and set the mood for our best attended event. One of the most memorable was when we finally got everyone to dance to Kathy's rendition of Crazy. It is "terrible" when the host of the event can say I had as much fun as the guests listening to your great performance. No wonder you were voted the Best Cover Band in San Antonio.
With guys like you, putting on a great event is easy. Heck, you even made the sun come out on a dreary day.
Again, Thanks for a job well done. We look forward to doing it again

The Tim and Bob Show performed at our wedding reception on September 8th 2007. They managed to please everyone from the 4 year old to the 84 year old! They even changed the words to a couple of the songs just for ME (the Bride)! We cut the cake to Love in ¾ Time and made sure to embarrass my friend Shelley as with a perfectly performed Mustang "Shelley" as I dragged her out on the dance floor! We had many people come up to us asking “Where did you FIND them???” Our guests were able to dance, sing along, and enjoy the conversation without having to yell across the table. Our wedding reception went off without a hitch and the Tim and Bob Show made it THAT much more perfect!!! I could not imagine a better soundtrack to the best night of our lives than the one provided by the very talented, very accommodating, very FUN Tim and Bob Show.
If you haven’t heard the Tim and Bob show “do their THANG”, you don’t know what you’re missing.
Steve, Don, Kathy, and Mary Lou – WE LOVE YOU!!! Thank you so much for performing on our special night. You ROCKED!
Love,

I am writing on behalf of the Tim and Bob Show. We own and operate Waldemar, a Girls’ Camp in the summertime and a Retreat business in the ‘off- season.’ One of my jobs is to offer evening entertainment to our Special Event groups. After having this band out several times, I have found that the Tim and Bob Show truly enhanced the ambiance of the evening. They are friendly to our guests, accommodating, flexible with weather related issues, and affordable. The preparation of their music is obviously well rehearsed as well as fluid.I first stumbled upon the Tim and Bob Show at a Pizzeria in Leon Springs, and immediately jumped up to ask if they would play for us at Waldemar in Hunt, TX. They were more than accommodating to look at dates available.
We hope to continue booking this easy-going yet professional crew at Waldemar.

The Tim & Bob Show is a delight to Fralo’s customers and myself as owner. We schedule music four to seven days a week depending on the weather. It is a relief to my schedule to know that I do not need to contact the group to insure they will show. They always honor their scheduled dates and arrive on time in proper attire to entertain at our family oriented restaurant.
In the variety of musicians scheduled at Fralo’s, I would have to admit that they shine in creating a seamless and hassle free gig. We provide a small stage and a plug – they do the rest – without requesting help. They bring their scheduling books to me, when I am available, to schedule additional dates – others tend to wait for me to call them – I appreciate that they are more professional in their booking style and their commitments.
Our customers enjoy the wide variety of music selected to sing. It seems they know music for all ages.
In addition to their organization and style they promote Fralo’s to the general public increasing the number of people that visit our restaurant. I receive the emails that they send out and it is nice to see a gig announced as a special event. It seems to spark interest from outside our regular customer base.

The Tim & Bob Show have performed at my restaurant on three different occasions. Each time has been a delight that my customers truly enjoy. Having this band play in my restaurant requires absolutely no extra effort on my part – which is extremely important to me. They arrive, set up, and begin to play at the exact time promised. They don’t abuse break time and always play for the entire time agreed upon. The music they play is perfect for my customer base and they interact with my customers on a warm and friendly basis. Because of this, my customers make a special point to eat in my restaurant when The Tim & Bob Show play, which translates into increased revenues.
I highly recommend The Tim & Bob Show because they are consummate pros. I wouldn’t hesitate to have them back to entertain my customers for years to come.
