THE TIM AND BOB SHOW: Tunes

Tim and Bob Love Wait Staff

It's almost a cliché for performers to end their performances with "Thanks a lot, drive home safely, and don't forget to tip your waitress." Since we like to do most things in a more original manner, we thought we'd come up with a humorous way to remind diners that their wait staff are helping them have a good time. When we're playing our restaurant venues, we generally play this song once per set. We were also wondering if there was a subtle way of drawing people's attention to the tip jar, and that's where the last two lines came from.

Yep, Tim and Bob love wait-staff, and when we play this song, they generally love us too.

Please be good to your wait-staff.
They've been mighty good to you.
Give a big smile and a "thanks a lot";
It's the least that you can do.
Financial compensation would be appreciated too.
So, don't forget to tip your wait-staff.
It's the Texas thing to do (say what?).
I said, don't forget to tip your wait-staff
It's the Texas thing to do.
And if you really must insist --
Well, I suppose you can tip us too!
